A Rascally Wabbit Named Dexter.

First let us say Thank You to all the people that have viewed our blog over 2000 times!  It means a lot to all us critters on here.

So this is the story of how I Dexter became a grandma...

My name is Dexter

I am your typical Brown lion head rabbit. I went hopping by my owner's house back in November when the snow started to fall and she took pitty on me so she caught me and brought me inside. See I use to belong to some one else that just let me go. So I was never really a wild rabbit but for a short period of time I got to live in the wild. However what she didn't know was that I had a secret. My secret was that I was pregnant and as the woman that took me in knew nothing about rabbits didn't even know that I was a girl let alone pregnant.

So one morning she got up and went in and discovered that I was giving birth...boy was that a shock I bet. I gave birth to 10 little ones however only 6 managed to survive. What an experience that was.

Baby rabbits

Oh the joy that was. So did I mention the fact that the woman that took me in knew nothing about rabbits???  So in my litter there were two rabbits named Rebel and George(A.K.A. BG(Big George)) and supposably they were boys. Ya right...

Well to make the long story short Rebel was really a Rebelette, and no not the SBHS Dance team that the owner use to be captain of. So the little ones pictured below are my first Grand children...And yes incestuous ones at that, but we don't like to talk about that much. Oh! but there is more!!!!

Babies 1 month old. From right to left. Rebel jr, Black beard and the twins

After having these and they were only 4 weeks old Rebel gave birth to 9 more, and I can tell you for a fact that my owner had no idea this was even possible, let alone that it had happened. Nor did she even know Rebel was pregnant to begin with or still for that matter. This is why they say doing it like rabbits I guess.

1 week old rabbits...not sure how a white one got in the bunch.
So the moral to this story is when a rescue rabbit come hoping by your house some day just let it keep hoping or you could end up having 26 rabbits from just one lonely little old rabbit that you decide to take in from the cold and such.... Next I will try posting video footage of my grand kids cause isn't that what grandmothers do???? Peace All.

CJ & Boo Bear

This is Poppa. His name is Moses. He's a Scottish fold.

Now that Business is done. My name is Boo. They call me this because if you look at the black spots on the back of my head it looks like a ghosts face.
The orange head to the right of me is my brother CJ, and look at this human that is trying to get in with my face shot.

Me and my brother CJ have all kinds of adventures. Stay tuned for them as our story unfolds.

Dexter not a Dexter after all

This is my story. My name is Dexter...although it turns out I am not a Dexter after all.

Hmmmm  you smell good.

I am a rescue rabbit. I have been living in the yard of the my human for several months.  Kumar and I would come at night and get delicious carrots from our human.

Dexter is Brown. Kumar is gray.

Then one day I went into the human's house and got to live with them. Life was pretty good. I was getting three square meals a day. I was able to take long naps, and my human actually just thought I was a chill rabbit.

Then one day she came in to clean my cage like she did every single morning only to discover that I am NOT A DEXTER...but rather a DEXTERIA!!!  I gave birth to 9 little bunndles of joy.
9 Born 12/6/11
Boy wasn't my human quit surprised with me?  Next time we will try to introduce the clan. Also let this be a lesson to anyone that decides to rescue a rabbit. Make sure you know the sex of the rabbit and never think that they might just be tired and taking a nap or this could happen to you.

So this weeks guest is Storm

Hi. Aren't I hansome?

I am your typical cat. I eat french fries, and ride on people's shoulders.
McDonald's French Fries my favorite!
My human ride is the only want to go. :-D

I like to watch TV.
Storm what are you watching on TV today?
But playing hide and seek is definitely my most favorite game that I love to play.

They will never find me  in the fridge. Cold feet. Why?

You can't see me. Cat in the bag, Cat in the bag, Cat in the bag.

The life and time of Patches

RIP Patches

Patches

Born on Martin Luther King Day 2008

Mother Tiger (Honey), Uncle Tony( lrg Beige Tiger Left), Patches baby
black and white, flecked kitten sister and beige smaller tiger
(right)brother.

Patches loved all cats and dogs, but he was really Lucy's buddy.

May you enjoy your time now to play with your buddy Taco who is already in heaven and I am sure was standing at the gate waiting for you.

Patches and Taco playing

Patches would always sleep in the most interesting places and as you will see in these pictures the cat did get around.

The envelop in the bowl supports his head.

We thought we got a new knife set.
Patches thought he got a new box

Only cat I have ever known to crate train himself

Why must you people insist upon putting
your dirty clothes on me?

He also loved to be up high as witnessed in these next pictures where he is perched on top of the door

I see you Dog....
Time to make my escape

On your mark get set Go!

No will ever say you were not a smart cat...and he preferred it if people would not drink. Exhibit A

I said "No Wine Mommy!"

Patches you will be missed. You were the coolest cat and I am sure Lucy will miss you most as you were her buddy and pal and she was very confused that you were a cat not a dog and you were the male and she was female. We love you "Patches is a kitty".

Lucy & Skittles love affair....

So I am dog and my name is Lucy and this is my man Skittles. People just need to understand that it's the new millenium and I see nothing wrong in me being in love with a male Cat.

Now you might think that in this picture that he isn't enjoying my affections. Let me reassure you that this is not true.  He truly does love me as is evident in the following picture where I am giving him a bath.

See he really is smiling. This truly is a match made in kitty and doggie heaven.
